MasterPlan Product Overview
MasterPlan is a diary and resource
scheduling program that simplifies the difficult task of booking locations
and resources for use by your church community. Scheduling the many meetings,
events and get-togethers held throughout the year can be a real headache - but the
consequences of not scheduling can be even worse, with the
frustration
of over-booked rooms and too many demands for the same equipment and
resources at the same time.
Managing the Who, What and When... here's How!
MasterPlan makes it easy to keep track of how your locations and resources are being utilised at every hour of every day.
- Record comprehensive details about upcoming
Events quickly and easily. MasterPlan stores information about the nature
and type of the Event, the details of the booking holder and a variety of
custom notes.
- Use Bookings to group related Events together, making them easier to
identify and manage.
- Use the Event Calendar to quickly view currently scheduled Events and
add new Events with ease.
- Add Holidays to your calendar to indicate periods during which special
consideration must be given to the scheduling of events.
- Mark Bookings as Tentative, Confirmed or Cancelled to avoid confusion
amongst staff regarding the current processing status of each specific
Booking.
- Schedule recurring Events using a variety of highly flexible patterns,
For example, you may choose to repeat an Event on the first weekday of
every second month for the next two years! You can also individually
modify or cancel any one of these recurring Events to further
customise the schedule.

Make Conflict a Thing of the Past
MasterPlan can eliminate the frustration and inefficiency caused by
situations where rooms or other resources are inadvertently double-booked.
- Receive automatic notification of potential conflicts between Events
each time a new Event is entered or an existing Event is modified.
- Designate specific conflicts as allowable where they will not cause
scheduling problems.
- Define the specific Locations and Resources that are available to your
organisation, and keep track of their use. Assign notes to
individual Locations and Resources to be displayed on the Booking
Confirmation if a person books the item.
- Print a Booking Confirmation for the booking holder at the press of a
button - you can even add custom notes to be printed with an individual
Booking, or only for Bookings of specific types.

Stay on Schedule
MasterPlan can provide you with timely reports at the click of a button,
to help your staff keep in touch with the latest scheduling changes.
- Quickly generate a Daily Schedule, Weekly Calendar or Monthly Calendar
to show the Events scheduled for a particular period of time. Filter the
report to show only specific Locations, Resources, or event types to
provide customised calendars for different departments of your
organisation.
- Export your Events to a Microsoft Outlook Calendar to make your
schedule instantly accessible to other users without requiring them to
install MasterPlan software on their computer.

Powerful Custom Querying and Reporting
MasterPlan maximises the potential of your information by providing a number
of reporting options including:
- A powerful and easy-to-use report writer which allows you to create
customised reports in a number of formats to suit many of your
organisation's reporting needs.
- A number of predefined reports to satisfy specific requirements,
including a daily schedule, weekly and monthly calendars, and a booking
profile.
- A user-friendly query writer that allows you to create and store
queries to find the information you need to answer common questions or
satisfy one-off requests. Stored queries can be used as the basis for functions such as creating reports, exporting data or
performing actions on related groups of bookings.
- The ability to save and distribute the output of reports in a number
of highly-portable file formats including HTML, Portable Document Format
(PDF) or as a Microsoft Excel Worksheet (XLS). Share information from a

format that can be used in many other applications by:
- Providing comprehensive export options in standard formats, so you can
extract your data and integrate it with many other applications. Booking
information can also be exported directly to a Microsoft Outlook™ Calendar
folder to create an instant on-line calendar for your organisation!
- Using the Microsoft Access™ database engine to store data, which
provides you with complete control of your information at the lowest level
should this be necessary.

To install MasterPlan, your system must meet the following minimum
requirements:
- Microsoft Windows 98/2000/XP operating system.
- 64Mb RAM (128Mb recommended)
- 40Mb free disk space.
